THE OMNIVOROUS MIND



“The Omnivorous Mind” is a gustatory tour of human history.

For the book cover design, I used the image of a monkey eating food to illustrate the evolutionary nature of our relationship with food. The bronze letter “O” from the book title was placed on the monkey’s mouth to highlight the action of eating, as well as to present a humorous sentiment and point of interest. A slender and elegant font was utilized for the Chinese characters as a metaphorical interpretation of food culture after evolution.

大腦裡的美食家 - 本書導覽闡述出人類味覺的歷史。

在書籍設計上,我以猴子進食的圖像,去傳達書裡描述飲食件這事情是經過演化、進化的,並將原文書名的英文字母O燙金在猴子的嘴上,以凸顯吃的這個動作,也表達出灰諧和逗趣感覺。另外中文書名則選擇較為細長優雅的字體去解釋演化後的餐飲文化。
